Below is a list of extracurricular activities available to the Hudson community. Some of these are run through the school, while others are run at the school by private operators and are not affiliated with the school.
Please contact the Principal if you require a subsidy for your child. Instructors, Hudson School/VSB and the PAC work together on sponsoring all families who need financial support to ensure full access for every student.

Arts Umbrella Program

Description | Smokey charcoals, bright temperas and chalks, oil pastels, or pen and ink colours and textures blend beautifully in this exploration of composition, design, and colour theory. Kids create artworks that show inspiration from practicing artists, all while applying critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. |

DANCEPL3Y with The Play Brigade

Description | PL3Y is all about physical literacy and creating class environments that promote positive mental health. Each of our programs are purposefully designed to help kids develop fundamental movement skills, foster growth mindsets, build social skills and of course get active when all they’re doing is having a blast! |
How to register | Online interest form: https://forms.office.com/r/uhfWN6HCuQ Hard copy interest forms are also sent out to classes, and sometimes virtual forms will be supplied via the school newsletter. Once interest forms are returned by a date mentioned on the form, a lottery will take place to allocate spots for the program. Once spots have been allocated a registration link will be offered to those families. |

Description | The Moresports dynamic multi-sport after-school program focuses on fundamental movement skills development, and creating a fun-filled environment. Our program offers a diverse range of sports, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, and more, providing kids with a well-rounded athletic experience. In this program, participants will not only improve their sports skills but also enhance their overall physical abilities, coordination, and agility. We believe that sports should be fun, so we create a nurturing and exciting atmosphere where every child can build confidence and friendship. |

Description | An extracurricular choir program run by the Vancouver Extracurricular Music Society (VEMS). Students will learn healthy vocal production and musicianship while exploring diverse repertoire. At every rehearsal there is a professional pianist to encourage tuning and experience live music making. Regular attendance is strongly recommended as new songs are regularly introduced. The music has been carefully chosen with the children’s vocal health and abilities in mind. |

Description | Neighborhood Art Studios is offering hands-on Art Classes in your school. Eight weeks of learning, creating and experiencing ART! These Art Classes will spark the creativity and Imagination of students with fun Art Projects. The set of eight sessions will introduce them to many new mediums, tools and techniques. Students will learn how to draw from our illustrated step by step instruction starting from drawing animals from simple shapes, adding details and shading in different mediums such as Graphite, Oil pastels and Pencil crayons. PAINTING gives an amazing opportunity for children to express their perception, feelings and interests. Students will be introduced to new techniques in Acrylic Painting on canvas, learning how to mix and blend different colours, creating special effects and texture. They will be bringing paintings home done in Acrylics and Watercolours. |
