- [Parking and Safety Tips and Map for Parents](https://hudsonpac.ca/2019/11/20/parking-and-safety-tips-and-map-for-parents/): Parents at Hudson have taken stock of the local parking options. No one wants a ticket or an injured child. This map shows where there is legal parking that will allow you to walk your child into and out of the school. It’s a two minute walk from any of these spots to the school. The meters are free until 9 AM. A Loonie in a meter is way better than a $60 ticket. And safer. To execute a drop-off or pick-up, parking enforcement officers tell us that the driver must not exit the vehicle.

- [Seismic Upgrade](https://hudsonpac.ca/advocacy/seismic-upgrade/): Latest News Construction on our new school began September 2022. This is great news for our community! The successful contractor was Heatherbrae Builders and their construction equipment is now onsite and a big attraction for students at recess.  The new school will be built on the west side of the existing Hudson Elementary site. Therefore students will be able to continue attending school at the existing building while construction of the new building takes place, and no temporary accommodation is required. Due to the staffing changes and construction of new classrooms added over the summer holidays, we will be waiting for the dust to settle before finalising the extra curricular activities calendar for Term 1. - [About Fundraising](https://hudsonpac.ca/fundraising/): Why does the PAC run Fundraisers? Where does the money go, and who decides? Where do PAC funds come from? Typically, all PACs in BC receive $20 per student from provincial gaming revenue. The rest of PAC funds come from fundraising. The major fundraiser at Hudson is the Hot Lunch Fundraiser. Other fundraisers that have occurred include: Direct Donation Campaign Winter Fair Book drive for the library and classrooms Scholastic Book Fair There is also non-PAC fundraising at the school.
