CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS…
French Book Fair: (week of Oct. 17th) needs 2-3 parents to lead organization of volunteers and set up for this event. Also, a handful more of parent volunteers are also required to ‘staff’ the Fair. Please see Teacher Librarian Colleen Nikon in the Library or email her a cnikon@vsb.bc.ca.
Hot Lunch Tuesday and Thursdays: is always looking for more volunteers to bring into our mix of dedicated Hot Lunch volunteer veterans! Please email Marina Bondarenko at musea79@hotmail.com if you are able to volunteer once a term, once a month, once a week or when you are able!
Special Events Committee: We will be calling for volunteers to help us with DiwaliFest, Pumpking Carving, Chaperoning a few hundred kids to and from the Ballet Field Trip, and helping at Winter Fair. Stay tuned for specific requests coming up very soon! Contact us anytime! Hudson PAC Vice Chair Special Events Nina Patel ninajanepatel@icloud.com  or me, Marina Percy Hudson PAC Chair  marina@freshstrategy.com
Fruit and Veg Program: We are seeking a parent to take over the administration of this program.  Mr. Dominic’s class is taking over all the washing and distribution of the fruit and veg and milk this term (and possibly longer). A small handful of hours a month is now all that is required to be the parent on this program. Food Safe certified even better! Please contact Theresa Kent: tkent@live.ca
Advocacy Committee: Interested in learning more about DPAC and getting connected and more involved in district-wide initiatives and events, advocacy workshops etc for local school issues. Contact Alan Patola Moosmann, Hudson PAC Vice Chair External Relations: apatola@telus.net
REMINDER! SPIRIT WEAR ON SALE NOW! Through October 10th!
Note: the new Gym Shirt and Gym Shorts are actually DRY-FIT Athletic tops and shorts. Made of a superlight blend… these items are perfect for wearing during sports activities indoor or outdoor!
