About Fundraising

Where do PAC funds come from?

Annually all BC PACs receive $20 per enrolled student from provincial gaming revenue. The remainder of the PAC funds are generated by fundraising.  Hot Lunch is our primary ongoing fundraiser, with $1 of every meal going to the PAC. The 2025/2026 fundraising events and fundraisers include: Spirit Wear (partnering with Artee), Clothing Swap, Halloween Event, Purdy’s Chocolate Sale, Winter Plant Sale, Online Auction, Winter Fair (inclusive of kids market), Direction Donation Campaign, Corporate Sponsorship Campaign, Vancouver Canadian Game, Created by Kids Art fundraiser and Year End BBQ. We also partner with local organizations in an ongoing capacity, Pedalheads, Madel’s labels, and Stong’s Market.  See partnerships here.

How are the PAC funds deployed?

Each year the PAC votes on a budget, prepared by the PAC executive in collaboration with the school administration staff, and with input from the PAC community. Significant line items in the budget typically include: classroom materials, support for field trips, art supplies, and sports. In some cases the PAC also assists with capital expenses such as technology procurement and facility upgrades.

2025/2026 projects: Our goal is to create an accessible, inclusive, and engaging space for younger children to play and grow. The primary-age playground will not only serve the students but also the families and children in the surrounding neighbourhood, fostering a sense of community and well-being. This project will also be inclusive of various art installations around Hudson.  To bring this vision to life, the PAC aims to raise $100,000 to cover the costs of the new playground and other outdoor learning environments. In 2024/2025 we were able to raise over $200,000 for our new accessible main play structure, and other outdoor learning items.  Visit our Direct Donation page for updated details.

How can you help?

Fundraising is made possible when the whole PAC community is engaged and involved, we ask for your participation in any way you feel is accessible and possible.  Consider getting involved in any of the fundraising initiatives, particularly we would invite help with the primary playground project corporate sponsorship campaign.

In addition, please reach out with other fundraising ideas you would like to lead and partnership opportunities available in the community.
