Below is a list of extracurricular activities available to the Hudson community. Some of these are run through the school, while others are run at the school by private operators and are not affiliated with the school.
Please contact the Principal if you require a subsidy for your child. Instructors, Hudson School/VSB and the PAC work together on sponsoring all families who need financial support to ensure full access for every student.

Basketball Program

Description | Students will learn healthy vocal production and musicianship while exploring diverse repertoire. At every rehearsal there is a professional pianist to encourage tuning and experience live music making. Regular attendance is strongly recommended as new songs are regularly introduced. The music has been carefully chosen with the children’s vocal health and abilities in mind. |

Multi-Sport and Physical Literacy

Description | Active Kids and and the VSB Community Schools Team have collaborated to offer after-school multisport and physical literacy programming. Kinesiology student coaches from the UBC Active Kids program will travel to Hudson to lead fun, interactive, and high energy classes focused on agility, balance, coordination, motivation and confidence building, basic fundamental movement skill development such as running, jumping, kicking, throwing, and catching, and sport specific skills. |
How to register | Online interest form: https://forms.office.com/r/wA4Y1BxMpx Hard copy interest forms are also sent out to classes. Once interest forms are returned by a date mentioned on the form, a lottery will take place to allocate spots for the program. Once spots have been allocated a registration link will be offered to those families. |

Arts Umbrella Program – Theatre Exploration

Description | Theatre Exploration gives kids the chance to explore and engage with the world of live performance! Students will play with voice, body, and text, bringing stories to life. Classes may include mask, mime, song, dance, poetry, scripts and even set, props and costumes as time and interests permit. Our goal is that these young performers find confidence and presence while having fun creating theatre, together. |
