WHO is the PAC
The PAC is the collective voice of parents at Henry Hudson. All parents and guardians of students are automatically members of the PAC. The PAC consists of members at large, active volunteers and the executive committee (executive officers and committee leads). The executive committee is elected by members near the start of each school year.
WHAT the PAC does
Hudson PAC is in place to foster an equitable, accessible and engaged community for all students, both in the classrooms and on school grounds. The PAC leads both fundraising and community focused events. These include special events, fundraising initiatives, community activities, communication via digital media platforms, and grounds planning/updates in coordination with the Hudson administration team.
HOW to get Involved
- Join the monthly PAC Meetings. The PAC meeting provides a chance to voice concerns and gratitude. The meeting provides a platform for the PAC community to be involved in planning, priority setting, and updates from the Hudson administration team and the PAC executives.
- Ask to join the WhatsApp Volunteer group to take part in the community conversation around event planning, PAC fundraising and other current events.
- Enquire about current PAC subcommittees to help move forward PAC initiatives.
- Participate in and attend the PAC run events and fundraisers
- Engage with fellow PAC members during daily Hudson life
- Join the Hot Lunch team to help distribute lunches on Tuesdays and Fridays
- Open Spots on the PAC executive committee: DPAC representative, Special Events Lead
PAC Executive Committee
The PAC Executive is to manage the PAC’s admin activities and lead initiatives between general meetings. The Executive consists of the Executive Officers and Standing Committee Leads. The role of the PAC Executive is to facilitate an engaged and inclusive community at Henry Hudson, however it takes the entire PAC to truly make the Henry Hudson community thrive and accomplish the priorities set out.
