We are excited to announce our plans to build a brand-new playground at Henry Hudson Elementary! 

Hudson has been the education hub of Kitsilano, teaching our kids since 1911. With the much-needed new school building and main playground now in place, our goal now is to create an accessible, inclusive, and engaging space for younger children to play and grow. The primary-age playground will not only serve the students but also the families and children in the surrounding neighbourhood, fostering a sense of community and well-being.

The PAC is pleased to share that a total of $35,000 has been raised so far to support the purchase of a new primary-oriented playground. We are truly grateful to everyone who helped bring us to this point. 

To bring this vision to life, the PAC aims to raise $100,000 to cover the costs of the new playground and other outdoor learning environments. We have launched a fundraising campaign and there are several ways you can help:

Direct Donations: We have suggested a community gift of $200 per family. A huge THANK YOU to all families who have already provided their support. If that’s not feasible right now, any amount – or a gift of your time – truly makes a difference. 

Corporate sponsorship:  If you own a business, know someone who does, or if your company has a corporate giving program, please consider a sponsorship.  

In recognition of a generous contribution, we would be delighted to offer the following:

• Prominent recognition will be placed by way of a plaque installed at the playground.
• Logo placement on all the PAC promotional materials and at our events for the playground fundraising efforts. 
• Acknowledgment in our school newsletter and social media channels.
• Opportunities for employee engagement through volunteer days and community events

How to give

Donation are accepted online, via our School Cash system.

Prefer to give a different amount? The system will let you choose any amount that works for your family.

All donations receive a charitable donation receipt that can be claimed for tax purposes.

Prefer to volunteer instead (or in addition)? We welcome helping hands for e.g. the Spring BBQ, Mother’s Day art fundraiser, and more. No experience needed – just an hour here or there goes a long way. Please reach out via email to hudsonpac@gmail.com to sign up for volunteer opportunities.
