As always, we will be selling tickets at Winter Fair. But his year, we will begin ticket sales at 2:30pm in the gym on Dec. 12 and taking CASH ONLY. Come to the Tickets for Sale Desk to buy your tickets on the day of the event.
Hudson Winter Fair is a festive, fun filled event for the whole family to enjoy! It’s not a fundraiser; It’s a fun-raiser! (ticket sales are to cover costs for event expenses!) We look forward to seeing you there!

Vancouver Bicycles for Humanity
With Christmas coming and kids getting new things this time of year, here is a reminder that the Vancouver Bicycles for Humanity chapter is getting ready to send a shipment of donated used bikes and bike parts to Namibia soon. They are still looking for donations of used bikes (children or adult) to complete the shipment.
If this seems like something that you may wish to support, please read details below and feel free to pass it on.

Hudson Choirs Sing in the Community

Want to get into the holiday spirit and support the Hudson choirs?
Friday, December 5th:
Hudson Senior choir sings in Stanley Park at Bright Nights 7PM – 8PM.
Come listen to holiday favourites.  Enjoy the lights.  Have a hot chocolate. Take the train!

Hudson Junior choir and guests sing at a street event Yew & 4th Ave. 11:30AM – 12:30PM.

Hudson Senior choir sings downtown in the lobby at 1111 West Georgia (Georgia & Thurlow) 11:30AM – 12:30PM.
If you work downtown and want something different over the lunch hour, come listen to holiday favourites.

Hot Lunch and Lunch Tips:
Hot lunch nicely covers lunch for Tues and Thurs, but this is about the time of year when some of us run out of ideas on M/W/Fri for making lunch for kids. Attached are some lunchbox tips from Vancouver Coastal if you want to get some fresh ideas.

Reminders November 24-28 2014

Last week for comfort kits to come into classrooms. These kits will be stored in our earthquake shed next week so please have them in by the end of this week if you wish to submit one.
Friday, November 28th:
District Pro-D Day – no school for students
Winter Fair – Dec 12th, 3 to 6 PM in the gym – still needs many more donations and volunteers – please help if you can!
Donations: any kind of product in bottle – juice, wine, bubble bath etc. – for string pull and adult-appropriate new or nearly new presents for the Kids Only Market. Please leave at the office. Without these items we won’t be able to offer these two very popular stations at the Winter Fair.
Volunteers: thank you to those who have volunteered. We still need people to help with set up and man stations (raffles etc.) for an hour or so during the fair. E-mail Carly Krug – krug@passport.ca if you can spare some time for this fun event.

Please send earthquake comfort kits to your classroom. All items must fit in a zipped bag that is NO BIGGER than 10″ X 10″ and please NO FOOD items. Please see attached pdf for full explanation and suggested content list.
Wednesday, November 19th:
BC Fruit & Vegetable Program – organic apples and milk served in the classroom.
Friday, November 21st:
Hudson Pyjama Day – no need to get dressed this Friday to show your school spirit. Come one, come all in your robes and slippers!
